The Hathaway Scholarship has helped countless Wyomingites get the education they need to succeed. Hathaway recipients have given back to their communities and made our state a better place. Yet, since the scholarships was created in 2005, the fund has never received the increases i

t desperately needed. When an opportunity arose to help this fund - to protect the future for our next generations - Jeanette Ward voted “no”.

And here’s an important fact: increasing this fund didn’t ask anything of Wyomingites. It simply meant investing our mineral wealth wisely, to support our next generations.

“There were opportunities to increase this scholarship without adding any burden to Wyomingites. Instead of listening to students who also face the impacts of inflation and rising school costs, Jeanette Ward turned a blind eye to the needs of yet another community in Wyoming.” Tyler Cessor
